What are we looking for?
We are looking for a talented AI Voice Engineer to join our engineering team at [Your Company]. As an AI Voice Engineer, you will build and optimize voice-AI systems: from speech recognition (ASR) and text-to-speech (TTS), to integrating language models and real-time voice pipelines. You’ll play a critical role in shaping the core of our voice-driven products.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain voice-AI pipelines (ASR, TTS, voice-to-text, real-time streaming).
Integrate speech processing with backend services and data pipelines.
Optimize latency, accuracy, and resource usage for real-time voice applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, product, UX) to ensure seamless voice interactions.
Troubleshoot and debug voice-AI performance issues; refine models or configurations.
Stay updated on latest research and technologies in speech recognition / voice AI, and apply improvements.
Requirements
Strong experience with voice / speech technologies: ASR, TTS, voice streaming — or willingness to learn.
Solid software engineering skills (e.g. Python, C++, or relevant languages), with experience building robust, scalable systems.
Familiarity with real-time data pipelines, WebRTC / streaming, low-latency processing — or strong interest in these areas.
Good understanding of machine learning / signal processing (not necessarily research-level, but comfortable working with models).
Problem-solving mindset, ability to debug complex systems, and collaborate across teams.
Bonus: previous experience in voice-based SaaS, real-time communication systems, or telecommunications.
Nice to Have
Experience with cloud deployments, containerization, and real-time infrastructure.
Prior work integrating voice-AI with frontend/web/mobile.
This is a hybrid role, with at least 3 days in the NYC office. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
