What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Conversation Designer to craft engaging, natural, and effective conversational flows for our chat- and voice-based AI products. You will design dialogues that feel human, intuitive, and aligned with our product goals.
Responsibilities
Design conversation flows, prompts, and dialog trees for chatbots or voice-based agents.
Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and UX designers to ensure conversational UX aligns with overall product.
Write clear, natural, and contextually appropriate prompts and responses.
Iterate on conversations based on user feedback and performance metrics.
Ensure conversational flows handle edge cases gracefully, guide users effectively, and maintain brand tone/voice.
Test and refine conversations; coordinate with developers for implementation and improvements.
Requirements
Strong writing skills, especially conversational writing — able to mimic natural speech patterns.
Empathy and user-centric mindset: ability to anticipate user needs, misunderstandings, or confusion, and design for clarity.
Familiarity with chatbot/voice-AI tools, or willingness to learn.
Ability to collaborate across teams — product, engineering, UX.
Bonus: background in UX design, linguistics, psychology, or related fields; experience designing conversational agents or chatbots.
This is a hybrid role, with at least 3 days in the NYC office. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
